Well, manifesto is a strong word, maybe not applicable 100 percent but here we are. Its more of an answer to why, what and how rather than an unbreakable statement that creates strong friends and enemies. Space has shrunk. Space has shrunk for anything not corporate, cool little projects don’t get publicity, the housing keeps going crazy and brighton not only is in danger of becoming London by sea but a broke and repetitive city like countless others nationaly. A place where biger players take over everything sucking the soul out of a it and throughing anything creative, querky, playful and human friendly in the relevant bins.
This small website aims to at least collect and promote this side of brighton, with all its events, humans, places and communities. Its not aiming to build another generic what do in brighton website, but a different side of it. We’d like to never miss again a nice event because we find out about it three days after it happened, bring the community a bit closer togrther and unearth some of the hidden gems in the town. Hopefully we benefit everyone, including ourselves.
